Are permanent cosmetics a form of Tattooing?

Permanent make-up is a form of tattooing, although infusion process of permanent makeup is infused only through the epidermis into the dermis, whereas a tattoo is infused deeper into the skin.

Is the procedure safe?

Yes, the procedure is safe, permanent makeup has to meet high health and safety regulations. Practioners are trained to perform at the highest form of health & safety.

Does the infusion process hurt? Topical anaesthetics will be applied throughout the treatment process to reduce any discomfort felt during the procedure.

What is the healing process like?

Immediately after the infusion process your enhancement will display mild redness and swelling which may last up to at least 48hours prior to the procedure. The enhancement will be a darker shade than desired, gradually fading into the result of colour that lasts for years. Balm is given to the client, which is applied at least 3 times a day to keep the enhancement moist to prevent it from scabbing.

How long does the Enhancement last?

The enhancement last for 18 months before gradually fading out therefore we advise our clients to maintain their procedures with a colour boost. If left the enhancement will fade out in a period of time of up 2 – 7 years.

Cold Sore

Clients who suffer from the cold sore virus and opt for the lip procedure are advised to take an oral medication 3 days prior to the procedure to prevent the cold sore virus from erupting. The lip enhancement can bring the cold sore virus out therefore precautions are advised at all times through a variety of medication.
